A Royal-ish August

Dear Friends,
I hope you enjoyed a delightfully Royal-ish August filled with summer reading, lazy lounging, and even a royal nap or two.
As for me, the crowning moment? Meeting my illustrator, the wonderfully talented Lee Roy Lahey, in person for the very first time!
After conjuring up the visuals of Bagradoo over countless phone calls, emails, Zooms, and other tragically non-royal technologies, we finally met face to face. Truly, we deserve a Royal-ish medal for surviving an entire creative process without once sipping tea across the same table.
And just in time for another milestone: my very first U.S. book signing at Barnes & Noble in Encinitas, San Diego! We were positively spoiled by our VIP Royal-ish visitors who stopped by to meet us, collect signed copies, and join in on the fun. There were activities, coloring, stickers, and even a behind-the-scenes peek into how illustrations come to life. It was, without question, one of the most magical days of my year.
If you were were so kind as to pick up or order a book that day, may I make a small Royal-ish request? Please do leave a short and sweet review on BarnesandNoble.com here: https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/royalish-amrita-gandhi/1146062991. I promise it will mean the world. And between us, a special token of thanks awaits all who do…
With love (and a royalishly disastrous curtsy),
Amrita
