My Royal-ish Friends,
September had me spoilt for choice like a royal banquet ;).
I was excited to be invited to the Asia society in New York by the Jaipur Literature Festival a book and talk seris which while born in the pink city of Jaipur, now travels the globe, including to our very own New York. Naturally, I had to pack my imaginary tiara.
I found myself in lively conversation with Amish Tripathi a best selling Indian author of mythological fiction and had chance to meet the director of Elizabeth, the one and only Shekhar Kapur whose films such as Mr. India and Masoom have shaped a whole generation of us.
Of course, being a writer has its struggles which are real (and occasionally unwashed-hair real). But whether or not we fill up pages with words, each of us is a story teller, at the dinner table, over a coffee, in group text chats, or when trying to wriggle out of a plan.
So as September bows out, I wish you stories to tell, and most importantly, laugher to crown your day.
Amrita
